Victoria Haven Nursing Home is a 52 bed
nursing home facility (plus 2 respite beds)
located in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and has been
in operation for approximately 30 years. Glace
Bay is situated about 25 minutes from Sydney.
The MacLeod Group of Antigonish purchased this
facility in 1999, and construction began shortly
thereafter to bring it up to date, and increase
its size.
The original facility was a company house
that had been converted to a boarding house, and
then later became a residential care facility.
Over the years, this facility added beds and
offered services to both residential care and
nursing home clientele. Its most recent
renovation took place in 2000, bringing the
building up to the standards of the day, and
increasing the capacity to its present size.
